My boss sent 1on1 emails the night before. Hey it gave me a heads up so I knew to be prepared. I guess others get the emails right before. :(

i’ve only seen one goodbye email today, though. i don’t know what the delay is.

regardless of whether or not someone thinks Sports is a blackhead, the dept was profitable for nielsen and has some really amazing tech teams who work hard, pivot with change, find creative solutions, and don’t deserve this mess. it’s the rest of nielsen dragging us down.
nielsen never knew what to do with Sports. Or Scarborough or Gracenote or vBrand etc etc. Ridiculous. Wasted opportunity. I can only think all the companies Nielsen bought the past decade regret selling to Nielsen. So much wasted opportunity. Never clear directions. Rotating leadership. Sports bosses rotated out so often we never could “innovate” or even integrate. And now all these other companies are being dismantled and for what?

Repucom: Another ancillary company with zero alignment to what Nielsen's core business of audience measurement - while sidetracking and taking Nielsen's eye of the real ball. I watched Nielsen buy so many useless non core companies back in the day in hopes of ja--ing up the stock price but to no avail.
