Audio division announced that we'll all get the "mental health" day this year. However, instead of May 24th, we'll be taking it the weekend of Father's Day. That's a week or 2 weeks depending, after the Spring Radio Diary ends. I wonder if they plan to lay everyone off that week of pay day June 14th, and then give everyone else a mental health day.... Management told us they were finished with their layoffs, but nobody really knows how that could be truthful, considering a great number of RI's are only trained to call Diary. Management has enough decency to clue their TL's in, but the rest of the team is just treated like cattle. "We just needs bodies at this point." Everyone want's to hear that from their leader right?

In all honesty, it seems like it's bi-weekly at this point. Every single pay week for the last few months there are reports of layoffs. I don't think they'll do big group layoffs like they did last year....this is probably their way of getting around WARN. Just a trickle of layoffs every other week. It's enough to encourage current employees that don't stand to get a good severance payout, to move on (may even cause those that would get a good severance payout to leave, considering how terrible the market is). With that, they don't have to pay severance.
I mean, if you are a snake corporation, it's a good business plan. Let the constant threat of job loss do the job for you.
Probably at the start of the third quarter
ima bout lose my job after 12 years of dialing with health benefits !!! u worried about name calling ???? i got a wife and kids to worry about. get ur PRIVLEGED as$ off this board
Why is there so much name calling toward former co-workers. Not everyone hated the work they did and the people they worked with and that’s ok.
I switched from Scarborough to Audio 2 years ago when I heard Scarborough was closing I thought I made a good move and would still have a job been with them 12 plus years and I’m considered TopPerformer! I thought one day this might happen ,but now that it’s here it’s unsettling. I have talent and solid backup skills wish everyone the best.
Nielsen: bunch of old, ugly, dinosaur bullies. The ratings are all b.s. anyway. If you had half a brain, you received twice minimum wage to work from home during the pandemic and discover what working for jerks with no self esteem is like! If you have a brain, when you return to the industry you left behind because of the pandemic you’ll never take that career or the actually talented people you work with for granted again. It’s not a a job for people with no self esteem. It’s an easy job with low expectations. Kind of like getting paid to watch a carnival or animals eat each other alive as they “get dat money” those 50 cent dollar bill incentives with each agree.
A "Mental Health Day" with ALL the carp (intentional) on television??
The hourly worker who get tracked and stepped on during there calling hours will leave with no skills the real world needs. A low self esteem job
Nielsen has been a bloated entity for a long time. The company relied heavily on antiquated methods and got exposed during Covid. Like all large companies, the rich got richer while the hourly workers did most of the work. The time has come for all to just move on.
Calling panelists and respondents to do interviews over the phone is as outdated as watching VHS tapes. A perfect pairing with Nielsen's proprietary applications developed in the late 1990's and early 2000's and not updated since.
It's a practice as annoying as the people at Sam's Club or Costco, or the mall wanting to see if you are happy with your wireless plan. You just ignore them and keep moving.
I have to wait THAT long? Darn it, was hoping sooner.
Sounds like a good plan to let those left get a mental health day off after the layoffs. Your division sounds bloated an needs to let some air out. Like a big fa-t to feel better. Good luck with this old marketing strategy of calling respondents. Didn’t dinosaurs go extinct long ago?
