How do you mask a flatlining product?

First, announce a sweeping sales level “archetype change” during the 5x annual company layoff season noting ambiguous roles with no clarity for who actually keeps their job. Second, quietly package-out and/or “whack” all senior leadership in the... — read more

What happened with all the rumors about acquisition?

There have been quite a few about SAP looking to acquire some medium company. Anything new on that front? For US based employees red flags come up screaming whenever someone mentions ‘acquisition”, because for us it usually means period of... — read more

What did Juergen Mueller do?

Fired from the executive board for "inappropriate behaviour at a recent company event". Yet in the same email telling us this, the SAP supervisory board wish him well in the future and thank him for his accomplishments... Surely they aren't thanking... — read more

Marketing anyone????

So this will be "officially" Julia White's last week with SAP ( although I am sure she has been long gone since the announcement). Suffice to say Marketing has been left in a complete shambles. But where do we go from here? OK, we merge Product... — read more

Do SAP ever give you a payrise to stay?

I've never heard of this happening. It seems that if you get a better offer from another company, SAP will never try to convince you to stay with them.

SAP's new upcoming acquisition

Rumour has it that SAP is in early talks to acquire a mid-cap company in the coming 2-3 quarters. Any news or guesses from the community?

Ahh,,,, what could have been.....

The unwillingness of our existing customers to swap out their ERP platforms and shift to the cloud should have been painfully obvious to our leadership.  Before I was an employee of SAP I was a customer and went thru an extensive  and "extremely... — read more

SAP already lost the race

Very many companies rise (pun intended) and then face an inevitable decline if they cannot innovate to meet the challenges of tomorrow. SAP will not be able to create the next generation of solutions, and the leaders are well aware, so the next 3-5... — read more

Clarification on impending layoffs

Has anyone gotten clear information on what the new guidance is on the additional layoffs? It is being reported that "an additional" 1000 people will be laid off to the existing 8k-9k (7% of employees) that were advertised beginning of the... — read more

Transferring OWN shares to private broker

After mercifully accepting the VERP, I Finally transferred my OWN shares from EquatePlus/CompurerShare (SAP never told me that they are one and the same) to my private broker. If you need to do this just call the US 1-888- number for ComputerShare... — read more

Future layoffs

I agree with the previous poster that we can expect cuts and layoffs to become a new normal, both due to bad choices over years/mgmt shortsightedness and failures, and increasing consideration of short-term shareholders interests against long-term... — read more

.....The Price we Pay......

Our Board has now found that there is more success in cutting than in growing and we now will get a steady diet of job cuts as the investment community demands more and increased returns. I believe we can trace this new business plan of job cuts ... — read more

Lateral move within SAP

I have applied for an internal transfer at the same T level as I'm currently at and the recruiter told me that since it's an lateral move, there is no payrise. Is this a new development in SAP? I thought any internal move always resulted in a 10%... — read more

SAP subsidizing employee paychecks

The new guidance for external entertainment has SAP account executives paying out of pocket for meals with clients. SAP will not reimburse employees when the bill (that is largely out of AE control without being deemed hawkish) exceeds $150 per... — read more

You are nothing but a number to them

You're not safe, you're not respected, and you're not seen as a person... The sooner you realize that the better off you'll be. There are better companies out there that'll treat you much better than SAP. I know. I left six months ago and I never... — read more

Germany: 5300 employees are interested to leave SAP

Instead of 2600 5300 (!) employees are interested to leave SAP on a voluntary base. Wow! Seems to be too much money or other way round SAP is not an attractive employee any more. Number 5300 is not offically confirmed by SAP. According to German... — read more
