Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Any updates on layoffs?

Besides the low pay rises, reduced bonuses going around since the strong stock price performance, has there been any news of restructurings and layoffs? I am applying aggressively at the moment in anticipation for something bad if it were to happen.

VERP has been extended to April 2025 in France for +40 people. Announced on
February 20th.

Fun fact : In January 2025, People acting as E-CSP found their role removed in 1st of April 2025. So HR gave them pressure to accept a new role of Enterprise Architects for Rise... Some of them accepted in early february, even though they are clearly not architects... And they moved to CS&D organization mainly as consultants.
And few weeks after, VERP extends and of course Architects are not eligible, though the remaining CSPs that did resist to HR pressure are eligible and can take it. These brand new architects, who missed the VERP just for a few days must really be happy about their HR. Nice way to motivate new recruits.

Only rumor I have heard is reduction / consolidation within the partner orgs. There is a power struggle between Karl's group and all of the other groups that touch partners.

@11f+1jkt8xdwq If they are laying people off, you should be proactively applying. Unless they guarantee that there will be no new layoffs, people should be "aggressively" applying. The board has not assured anyone that they are done with layoffs for 2025. Therefore, you should be applying with a job lined up.

That way, when they walk you into HR and tell you today is your last day, you can be like "cya I don't care". Hand your badge and laptop in, walk out, and walk into your new employer's office and start the new job - all on the same day!

Assuming you actually are applying "aggressively" ( big assumption) and you need to ask a question about layoffs news, you probably need to think about a new career.

Why not just say you are trolling SAP and want to see if you can get some inside chatter????
