So many people are looking for a way out

What happened to this place? SAP was THE company to work for once upon a time. We all loved it here. Now, every single person I talk to is trying to find a way out. If the job market were any better, SAP would be dealing with a massive talent exodus, at least in the U.S.

Speak for yourself. I came back because the work here is stupidly easy for the money they pay you. I work maybe 30 hours a week and make more than 180k TC. Decisions are made at a snails pace, a good thing when you just want to login, do your work, and log out. Any other company would have me working 50 hours a week. Raises might not be great, but there are plenty of resources to upskill in relevant technologies and bounce when the market gets hot again.

I am not ignoring anything - I am stating my opinion. SAP is a good employer with great working conditions.
Getting a bit tired of people who one the one hand slag off people like M. Alam and J. White and then 1 post later say "All this while Microsoft, Salesforce, Google, Coupa and Workday are happy to have SAP talent"..... Go work for them then, if you value these companies and their 'talents' so much

@c0+1jk7m7wqm you seem ignore the reality. I did 20plus too, I beg to differ your POV. There is lots of stress. The stress is due to internal mess and protective politics. If you have not experianced stress, host next mental health call and help others.

  1. Alam is a Tool. Dude's hand gesture can beat a bollywood dancer , and dresses like Satya Nadella light. Fact is in MSFT, no one gives a S*t about Dynamics, the great product and GM (eyeroll*) he was driving that !

Most shameless thing is , he talks about "Oh, our stock price has done tremendously well - better than many other top 7s". Dude, anyone with a basic finance knowledge will call this sh-t out. It's installed base on-prem revenue -> RIse Cloud revenue . Cloud revenue multiples are higher , and therefore the raise in price. Remove Private cloud ( where he didn't have any impact at all ) revenue, and show me what "ISBN" is doing , and what other product lines are contributing with.

Thing is , you give everyone a benefit of doubt. But this guy here has been around for sometime and no noticeable product uplift . it's high time, he gets his share of anonymous trolling and criticism ... so there you go !

Agreed. Lots of people looking to leave SAP right now. Product development is seriously behind the competition and innovation seems to be a lot of empty, big words. There is lots of new rules on how to do business at SAP in 2025 and little leadership direction on how to actually succeed. All this while Microsoft, Salesforce, Google, Coupa and Workday are happy to have SAP talent.

They over-hired and they need to offload a large chunk of the workforce. The current job advertisements on LinkedIn are flooded with 1,000+ bot applicants per ad and those that used GenAI to write their Resumes to each job advertisement. The market is s*** and companies advertising ghost jobs need to be sued for tricking shareholders.

@ah+1jk7m7wqm They do have a strategy, bleed dry the existing cloud software, lock in clients by suite first while also under investing in the actual product (which is now getting seriously behind the compition) and screaming AI at the top of their voices so the id--ts in the stock market will keep bidding up the stock price so everyone thinks its all hunky dory.

Well that is not a surprise given the current executive management behavior and "qualities". M. Alam now has around 35K+ organization and he is running it without a clear strategy. How to further develop both products and people is not on his agenda or within his abilities, and talking rubbish all the time is annoying and disrespectful towards thousands of people. Even when answering questions the executive allows himself to get annoyed and disrespectfully turns down the conversation. But perhaps that is why he has been hired in a first place by the CEO. Reduce the workforce as mush as he can by firing or driving out people is probably his main goal and purpose.
