Thread regarding SAP layoffs

How are RSUs handled during layoff? (US)

Can anyone say definitively how unvested Move and Grow RSUs are treated during a layoff in the US? Heard a rumor that they all vest at Termination, which seems too good to be true and different than what other tech companies in US do.

yes, RSU's are vested at time of your last day and will be paid during a future payroll run.

Anyone know the brokerage account “type” we need to transfer out funds? Located in Canada but in speaking with the plan admin team there isn’t much info…i.e do we need to move funds into a RSP, TFSA, Cash Account, etc?

certainly in the UK RSU's were vested and paid when employment ended. Also bonus payments pro-rated and paid at 100%

I've also heard this is true, sometimes called accelerated vest or "supervesting" of RSUs.

From what I’ve heard, this is true at SAP. And some tech companies do in fact vest your RSUs at layoff.
