New Org Announcements Today

Seeing lots of new ORG announcements and charts today. Hearing of layoffs last week and this week too. Timing on the next level of announcements? How are those impacting faring with notices / packages?

Packages are rolling out

Packages have started rolling out . If you haven't received one, might be time to check in with management..

How long do layoffs usually last?

When it comes to acquisitions, how long is the transitional period? Six months? A year? At which point will we be able to consider ourselves safe, at least in regards to the acquisition-related cuts?

Cuts have begun in Global functions

The entire indirect procurement in Supply Chain Ops was notified this week. There have been cuts in HR & finance too. The week of Sep 22 will be the last for US people who don't receive HPE offer letters. All the best everyone.

Adding this to my rulebook

If a company brags about “hiring like crazy,” that’s a red flag. A friend just got laid off, less than a year after joining a company that wouldn’t shut up about how fast they were growing. Now the market supposedly su-ks and he, along with dozens... — read more

More chaos in a twisted tale of greed

The HPE acquisition of Juniper is facing significant scrutiny. The Democratic Senators are urging the courts (Democratic Judge) to use its authority under the Tunney Act to investigate the settlement's terms & the process by which it was reached. ... — read more

International travel on H-1B before ED1

Until ED1 jn November, there’s the chance that layoffs can happen any time, right? As such, if we’re in the US on H-1B, should we cancel all international travel before ED1?

New CEO incoming

I miss Shaygan Kheradpir

Will severance be given out?

When layoffs start, will we be offered severance? I've been reading about other acquisitions, and it’s not a given that employees from the acquired company will receive any kind of package, which is making me panic a bit.

CTO, COO, CIO, CFO all gone, only CEO Survives.

Mr. Rami Rahim, just saved his job and came smiling to tell everyone that on merger day 1. He let all his employees down, and then even tricked all the CEO board members, all of them are gone, only Rami survives. May god bless rest of the employees! — read more

You heard it here first

Settlement is in jeopardy with the DoJ now requiring further proof and de.anding HPE take back the offer. Listen. I know what I'm talking about because I'm in the actual room.

I didn’t wait for the deal

I worked hard to find something else, and it paid off after a year (!). It’s a good job, nothing spectacular, but at least I don’t have to worry for now about what will become of me. Good luck to all of you, and please, think of yourselves and stay... — read more

How bad will the layoffs be?

Do we have any idea how many will be let go once the dust settles? I know it's going to be a bloodbath and it will be 90 percent on our side, but at least some rough estimate would be great.

How will the buyout go down?

I called E*Trade and the said there are two possibilities: A straight buyout, in which there will be no transaction fees charged to the stockholders . However, JNPR could create sell orders in the stockholder’s name (!), incurring fees for them. Does... — read more
