Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Juniper employees not appreciated for their contribution

Over the past few days, we have been hearing about quite a few people who had dedicated their lives to Juniper. These people spent upwards of 80hrs a week in supporting the organization grow and deliver.

As this acquisition is taking shape, we are being informed that these folks do not have a place in the new organization. This is beyond comprehension. How can our SVP's EVP's make such decisions and completely ignore these individuals in favor of the new team. Some of these people let go have a resume that's longer than the age of these new members.

I'm beyond stunned today as I hear about a specific individual who worked tirelessly in delivering the results, appreciated repeatedly and making our SVP/EVP successful in the eyes of our CEO. If this isn't betrayal I don't know what is..

Today, I can say that I no longer have any respect left for this person's previous supervisor.

Truism: "The company won't love you back."

They don't even know about the 80 hours. The extra effort is lost to a bad manager, that's it.

Only after you've been burned a few times do you start to see this.

That's why companies like young new recruites, because they don't know yet. Just like Hollywood.

Working more than 20 hours a week is your own stupid fault. Milked Juniper for years and will continue to do so at HPE.

I worked for HP/HPE for 30+ years. I managed my career, was a high performer the whole time and moved with the constant changes. I was well paid for the consistent 60- 70 hour weeks for years on end. They laid me off earlier this year and I am not sad. They aren’t the company they used to be and they play favorites with staff and executive promotions. I am so much happier in the new role I have. Let it go if you can. Life continues.

“ Some of these people let go have a resume that's longer than the age of these new members.”

It’s a numbers game. Don’t take it personally. HPE isn’t.

Spent many years there and worked my a** off for far more hours than I was paid for. Promotions don't come. Pay rises don't come. Then I got my butt handed to me. "Juniper Family" don't make me laff !!

It starts with our esteemed ex-ceo cashing in $40m and not even giving his own staff a goodbye. Juniper was all talk and no truth when it comes to culture and integrity. What do you expect?
