If a company brags about “hiring like crazy,” that’s a red flag.
A friend just got laid off, less than a year after joining a company that wouldn’t shut up about how fast they were growing. Now the market supposedly su-ks and he, along with dozens of others, is out on his a-s.

Remember the big FANGs "hiring like crazy" (and paying well) during and shortly post covid. Many people didn't even really work, I had a friend that was pulling 450k and not knowing what his real job was... naturally, the crazy layoffs by the 10thousands happened shortly after.
Look at how the FAANGs went on a hiring spree in 2020 and 2021. It was crazy and we’re still feeling the effects today. Projecting insane growth numbers that were never going to happen to justify the headcount.
