Hopefully will go away - the future Honeywell has shaped has been the offshoring of American jobs, the cheapening of products, delay after delay, and the cumulative clusterfrack that has drawn the ire of long term customers. The #futureshaper facade is crumbling and is the butt of jokes among customers, suppliers, and employees alike.

When I leave after this year's MIP payout, I will miss pretending to listen to HR as they spout "the latest thinking in management". I will miss their useless advice as I decide which of my undeserving team members will have to get the outer L rating, the zero percent raise and the obligatory PIP because of the non-quota quota that we have to abide by. I will miss listening to the director essentially fake it as he tries to flow down the latest initiatives, productivity metrics and employee feedback survey results. I will miss lying to my team as I tell them they are valued and that I am working on getting them a promotion. When in fact, promotions are a function of affordability but essentially inner block rating, diversity-only and the whichever the wind is blowing at the time. Remember, you can't spell #futureshaper without first the f and u.

Effective immediately:

To address severe supply chain disruptions all workers will be time sharing computer equipment. Each area will have one machine for email, one for word processing, and another system dedicated to servicenow tickets.

All programming should be done in the lab. Conference rooms or personal cell phones can be used for conference calls.

Remember to bring you cell phone or azure token so that you can log into the shared resources using multi factor authentication. Local file storage is prohibited.

Please be prepared to turn in your current equipment not later than 17/8.

Realize that the employees of the companies you acquired are good resources of running a company with good customer service. Otherwise, HON wouldn't of purchased them. Quit thinking the HON system is the only system. Several divisions and products have lost clout due to the HON way. No, not everyone is a kool-aid drinking #futureshaper. We need employees being paid at or above going rate, maintain employees with a more stress free environment, fire workers when needed that affect the org.(pi-s poor work ethic) No time to loose more customers or add more stress to dedicated employees. Make training a priority again. Who cares if your over staffed a few people during this time, your gonna loose 5% every quarter anyways

Despite our leader's dreams of self importance honeywell is a very small volume player for most products. This is especially true for aerospace.

I was flat refused furlough for childcare reasons, had to take unpaid leave instead. One of the reasons that I #futureshaper my life and f*cked off. It was only a matter of time before I slapped one of the leaders anyway so better out than in. It WAS a great place to work but no longer.

To meet the numbers, there are only so many levers a senior leader can pull. They are expected to meet the numbers in spite of what might be the best for employees. Anyone on this site knows HON doesn't care about employees, only $$$. RIFs and Furloughs are popular options and as everyone knows, those levers are worn out. They are pulled every time to show profit and to immediately reduce operating expenses. In the background performance PIPs and unwanted attrition move salaries to Emerging Regions (ER). The belt is constantly tightened for $$$. Intelligrated was the bright spot in the SPS portfolio and still is, but every acquisition ultimately succumbs to the HON money engine. Is anyone truly happy/satisfied in a career at HON? You either join the money train, drink #futureshaper Kool-Aid and fund HIPAC OR find something more fulfilling.

Who do corporations expect to buy their junk if the jobs are sent overseas and American taxpayers have no income? It’s not like corporations pay any taxes. How is the govt to pay for these contracts?

Why is expecting a decent standard of living in exchange for a regular 40 hour week, with unlimited extra effort when needed, doing excellent work, and doing work that 95% of the population is not capable of doing considered lazy and entitled? But it’s okay for a small handful of execs to take an obscene amount of “compensation” DUE TO our labor? Sounds like the thoughts of an a-- kisser who naively think they have a shot at the multi millions. Keep dreaming and giving it all away thinking you will get a pay off in some #FutureShaper future - you won’t.
