I have been looking for a new job for a very long time. I've almost given up hope of getting out of this place any time soon. What are your experiences with looking for new opportunities?

Considering the number of people quitting every week the job market cant be that bad.
Consider contracting?
Take a fresh look at your resume, there are free services out there on brushing up resumes. It can take time to find a new job so keep applying and maintain the focus on what should be a more positive chapter.
There’s some good news and some bad news. We don’t want you if your Honeywells management. The stuff you learned from Honeywell is the culture we don’t want. We need ethical people. Not on ethical people.
If you’re willing to start at the bottom, and get rid of Honeywell’s culture. We may consider you. So this was the good news, however, we also don’t want your toxic work environment either.
Shadiest ... yep. That is exactly what corporate america wants in an HR person. Squeaky clean. Sharp dresser. White teeth. Zero moral center. #futureshaper
My experience.... upper 50's and did an intermittent, low intensity job search for 3 years. Then, found the right company and the right hiring manager who was looking for my exact skillset. Left Honeywell for a 20% raise, better benefits and never looked back.
Honeywell HR is in high demand? They are the shadiest, least professional employees in the company.
You will have to provide more information.
What department do you work for?
Honeywell HR people are in high demand everywhere.
How old are you? It matters.
Do I actually want this job or do I just want out. That’s my experience.
