Few if any companies are cradle to grave anymore. A big factor is the end of pensions. Even the companies that Millennials and Gen Zers were so wild about a few years ago have turned out to be not so great. People have figured out that the way to move up is to move on. Maybe federal government jobs are OK but there are good reasons to leave those jobs too.
Are you f@$@@king seriously asking this question?
No. Honeywell hates you if you’re an employee. Honeywell only likes VP and cheap labour.
I agree with this statement too. Honeywell and Minneapolis has a graveyard across the street where many of my fellow co-workers end up going. They used to have time off when a Honeywell funeral was taking place across street.
By the way! The big shots. Their office faces the graveyard. Kind of ironic. Everyday they get to see tombstones of Honeywell employees they put over there.
They don't care either. They got their bonuses.
More like an a— to mouth job
Not sure about the cradle part, but HON will definitely send your career to the grave and if you stick around, you will get your grave quickly
Absolutely.
Just imagine -- The new 46 hour mandatory work week will enable the average employee to finish a 30year career in just 25 short years. 15% more efficient than our industry peers.
Don't worry -- Charlotte leadership is already hard at work planning the next big productivity improvement to shorten your career. Stay tuned rollout in Q2 of 2024.
There are no longer companies that are "cradle to grave". Companies keep you around while they think you will make them big profits. Then, they toss you like a used co---m.
Honeywell is a get the experience you need and get the h*ll out as fast as you can kind of job.
Gawd no!! Its a parachute company if you fail in your discipline or if you are not that great and would like a large corp on your resume. That is the hard truth.
They want the very most and best out of you early on in your career no more than 5 years. Then your so yesterday.
It’s definitely to grave…. They want to ki-l you so they won’t need to pay severance
I would say it's more of a "cradle to early grave" job. They hire babies fresh out of the cradle and then they either leave or self destruct.
Or is that a thing of the past?
