Are you ready?

I'm in inside sales, 115k w/ 8 YOE and >50 years old in the US. I have a feeling I'll be let go in this round. I haven't heard anything from my manager that makes me think so but I have a gut feeling. Are you ready if you get tapped on the... — read more

Work Hard and Smart!

Brace yourself to do much more with less this year. That is if you survive the layoffs. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/why-your-boss-may-tell-you-to-work-harder-soon-172533437.html

Get off the Dell bus in 2024

If you don’t get laid off, try to get off the Dell bus in 2024. The bus drivers don’t know how to drive and clearly don’t know the routes they need to go.

Bottom 20%

I heard the bottom 20% will likely be gone in sales come February. I am not sure of it, but it's what I heard so figured I'd share. Hopefully it's less than that, but then again, it's also a way out of this dinosaur company full of hand wavers... — read more

Next round.

When do we think the next round of cuts will be and what numbers and roles will go? If any of course. IMO Dell has to cut more roles but this is just my opinion and has no actual basis other than sales are way down in some area's by a huge margin. — read more

Dell reminds me of 90210

If you watched 90210 as a teenager, that’s what working at Dell is like. All drama, no plot, lots of politics and lots of sh!tty actors.

RTO in the news

Here’s why return-to-office mandates might start to disappear in 2024. Wonder if JC will ever admit this. They will be laying off but unable to attract new talent if things keep going the way they are going... — read more

RSU vesting

If I am laid off in February 2024, will I get stocks that were part of the vesting schedule in March 2024? What about annual bonus? People with information please help me understand. Thank you.

Culture eats strategy for breakfast

That's why we are stuck with no way out. No matter what strategy is implemented, it will be held back by the current culture at Dell. The culture that is resistant to change, that prefers doing things the old-fashioned way, and that rewards people... — read more

Dell - living in 2001

Dell’s strategies are from 2001. They are still driving engineering and IT to low cost countries to reduce their footprint in other high cost countries. I guess they didn’t get the lesson that low cost is low cost for a reason. Lots of other... — read more

RSUs vesting (layoff)

I have RSUs vesting in March. What happens to them if i am laid off in February. Would i be given my shares? How does it work for Senior Execs. whose compensation is based on RSUs? It seems a bit dishonest and bad faith to have me work for the whole... — read more

Coaching plan for inside sales reps in the US

I'm probably going to miss this half due to some large deals pushing, and I also missed last half so I expect to be put on a coaching plan in February (or possibly, let go). I think the only thing that might help me is that I moved to a new org... — read more

Toxic place to be.

Inspire Awards

How do some people get so many Inspire Awards? I have not got any and wondering why. Are you less likely to get layoff if you have Inspire Awards?

Dell is trash and treats their employees like peasants.

This entire company is full of absolute sh-t. Come work for one of the “most ethical companies of 2023”, where we cover up a former employee’s su----e on a Dell campus after he’d been WFRed; where we make the working environment so dreadful that we... — read more

Unpaid overtime in sales
