Yep, your heard it right here folks, another company restructure coming!
Effective 1 August will be a new world order, new business units, re-structured, no surprises here folks! This seems to happen every time of year at this time and its just another normal year for Dell.
This place is absolute terrible to work, never have i seen a company so broken!
You know what they say, find another job while getting paid at Dell...
Think to yourself of the last few meetings you had. Think of all the people on those calls. Now think, did I really need all of these people? There is your answer.
I've heard that coming this week Aug 5th 2024, the "transformation" strategy will start where Dell eliminates the extra people in an effort to consolidate processes. From what I've heard, this means if you have a team of 5 people doing something they're basically going to cut half since the others are also capable of doing that job. So many will be let go and the people who remain will all be expected to pick up the slack.
Used to work for Dell. It was amazing 10 years ago, but over last 3-4 years its just been terrible. If you raise an issue you become the bad apple. Higher leadership refuses to take action against leaders under them despite the teams giving them consistently low NPS.
Its not a place for young and smart people, and without that you know where the company is headed - in to the ground.
PS: I guess Michael sees that as well thats why he is divesting into Bitcoin.

Yes. Modern Dell is a set of absolutely disjointed initiatives to try to consolidate, commonize and streamline. It’s total BS. Is horribly run and with incredibly unrealistic deadlines. It’s all done on top of the existing work people already have. It’s all about the story. So far, almost zero execution.
Hope they pick me next. I’d happily dip for a severance package. Quotas are asinine as ever and morale somehow finds a way to get lower and lower. I know MANY who have been let go in the past 3 years and not one of them I have talked to isn’t happier for it

Complete dumpster fire circus of a company. Meanwhile leadership parties in Vegas and wastes money that could have been used to retain good employees on Vegas ad space and LinkedIn high five photo opportunities.
