More layoff rumors
Hearing that there is going to be a management / supervisor layoff this coming Friday 8/12. Guess it's to be expected that if you let go so many employees then you eventually have to start reducing down the management teams. I feel sorry for those... — read more

Hearing rumors of more reductions at the end of August.
CSC let me go
CSC let me go July 1st after just extending my contract until the end of the year! They didn't give me any notice or any reason. What a bunch of jerks! The one silver lining is that most US companies will not want to work with a bunch of people... — read more
The merge with HPE will probably be the biggest change CSC has experienced in its history
Over the past few days, there have been some interesting comments in the Cassandra blog about the direction CSC is taking. Source: http://cassandra-guidedinsights.blogspot.ca/2016/07/the-king-is-dead.html One school of thought is that Mike Lawrie has... — read more
Changes to CSC's U.S. Vacation Policy
CSC announced today, August 1st 2016, employees will no longer accrue vacation. Any existing vacation balance must be used by Dec 31 2016. I believe this is a slimball move by the company so that when the merger of CSC & HPE & the predicted layoffs... — read more

I think
CSC will lay off 2/3 of it's workforce to prepare for the merger with HPES. Then once the companies merge there will be more layoffs. By the time it is finished there will be few if any jobs left in the US.

What is the standard redundancy payoff calculation for UK staff layoffs under CSC please?
Im an HPE employee wondering whether to jump in advance of the CSC takeover. What are the current redundancy terms offered by CSC in the UK please? If what we have now is better then it's probably best to jump. Thank you.

2016 bleeding RIF
As the others posters have said - the RIFs have begun and appear to be widespread and large. Our group seems to have lost about 40% of the team. 1 day notice with pay in lieu.
2016 RIF
I was part of the RIF. Was with the company 1 year and 8 months. I find myself fortunate being younger (34) than most people that were part of the layoff. CSC was horrible to work for. I regret ever leaving my old job to come here. I hope everyone... — read more
Thanks to Veterans - CSC Layoff
I was released and approaching 55 in a couple months. Also shocked because of being a disabled Veteran with Status. So much for being a veteran friendly company.
Number and age break down of June 2016 RIF

24 years with CSC. Let go without notice. Horrible company to work for. They don't care about you. No raises in years. No training.
Do not work for this company if you value your family and friends or a personal life. They will drain the energy out of you while making company policies that force vacation days be taken to make the corporation look better for investors. While... — read more

CSC, a great name of your resume but a bad company to work for
