More layoff rumors

Hearing that there is going to be a management / supervisor layoff this coming Friday 8/12. Guess it's to be expected that if you let go so many employees then you eventually have to start reducing down the management teams. I feel sorry for those... — read more

CSC let me go

CSC let me go July 1st after just extending my contract until the end of the year! They didn't give me any notice or any reason. What a bunch of jerks! The one silver lining is that most US companies will not want to work with a bunch of people... — read more

Changes to CSC's U.S. Vacation Policy

CSC announced today, August 1st 2016, employees will no longer accrue vacation. Any existing vacation balance must be used by Dec 31 2016. I believe this is a slimball move by the company so that when the merger of CSC & HPE & the predicted layoffs... — read more

I think

CSC will lay off 2/3 of it's workforce to prepare for the merger with HPES. Then once the companies merge there will be more layoffs. By the time it is finished there will be few if any jobs left in the US.

2016 bleeding RIF

As the others posters have said - the RIFs have begun and appear to be widespread and large. Our group seems to have lost about 40% of the team. 1 day notice with pay in lieu.

2016 RIF

I was part of the RIF. Was with the company 1 year and 8 months. I find myself fortunate being younger (34) than most people that were part of the layoff. CSC was horrible to work for. I regret ever leaving my old job to come here. I hope everyone... — read more

Thanks to Veterans - CSC Layoff

I was released and approaching 55 in a couple months. Also shocked because of being a disabled Veteran with Status. So much for being a veteran friendly company.

Number and age break down of June 2016 RIF

Does anybody know the break down of the age groups that were RIF'ed? From the statements made it sounds like a fair numbers of these employees that were let go were over 55, was the longer term employees targeted ?

Lots of layoffs, effective 1 June 2016...true.

Me as well as three others in my group were all given notice today that our last day is tomorrow, June 1, 2016. One day notice. I am not surprised, and not all that upset, working for CSC has been less than awesome. No raises for the last three... — read more

Yep, 100% true

Just let go from GIS North America after 18 years with no warning. "your department has been eliminated, your medical is terminated as of tomorrow"

I was at CSC for almost 23 years.

Upper management decided they wanted to save money so they laid off a bunch of people. No notice, no thank you just a short phone call.

Hold on to your hats....

Get ready peeps...rumors of more layoffs for GIS and GTS happening real soon. This from a senior manager who is totally fed up with CSC

See below

It did not take most of us very long to see how f---ed up CSC was after they bought DynCorp. I left before the layoffs began but they were never totally honest and their performance on Fed Govt contracts was so poor I do not know how they won any... — read more

I love csc

I have been with csc for over a year. Just finished my ccvp with them paying for it. Yes you will work if your employed by csc. I can not say I haven't worked some long days there, but I will stay till they let me go. I have lots of experience and... — read more

Layoffs happen.

Getting called in on a Saturday night, and told you can only submit for ONE HOUR PAY, and being flat out lied to, repeatedly, by your manager about things that really matter to you, is something that is rather unique to CSC; and a corporate culture... — read more

Last week layoff

I was laid off last week with little warning or notice. They did not even inform my boss, it came from the HR department. They said my job had been eliminated. CSC is a bad company to work for.
