CSC let me go July 1st after just extending my contract until the end of the year! They didn't give me any notice or any reason. What a bunch of jerks! The one silver lining is that most US companies will not want to work with a bunch of people overseas in a different time zone that can't even speak English. This will be good for the private consulting market.

Heck, India storage almost crashed the entire nationwide mainframe system network because of their typical negligence and basic lack of understanding. The SLA hit on that would have been HUGE. A US worker caught it just in time. Let's hire more Indians and layoff more Americans. All to make this quarter's books look better.
That is true. I have already been getting more calls for consulting jobs. CSC thinks going offshore will save them money, and maybe it will in the short run, but if you lose clients, then it isn't good in the long run. CSC never cared about it's staff anyway. It was always about the bottom line.
