Chapters Has Got To Go

If we get nothing else out of the re-org in progress, we must eliminate these horrible Chapters. They have added no value and simply confuse everyone with excess matrix and overlap. They destroy accountability and most are led by the weakest... — read more

Any employees here from acquisitions?

If you’re an employee from a recent acquisition (e.g. Noble and such) what’s your thoughts on Chevron (culture, leadership, anything). I’d love to know an outside perspective! I’ve been with Chevron most of my career and I really don’t know anything... — read more

What to expect when resigning?

I'll be resigning next week - any idea what to expect? There's no official notice period, do they tend to just escort people out?

Mental Health Issues with Boss

I know this is not a layoff topic but need advice on how to address a manager who is exhibiting signs of mental health issues (possibly bipolar). In recent months my boss, who had been a high performing manager, has begun to display very moody... — read more

What do SCH, PlTM and RTE do?

As restructure and layoffs are on the horizons, what exactly do Platform Technical Managers (PLTM), Release Train Managers (RTE) and Product Line Managers (PLM) do? I am NOT saying they’re not important or don’t contribute to delivery work, but I’m... — read more

What’s the criteria for layoffs?

I’m relatively new to Chevron, and have no idea how it works here. In my previous company they only cared about your pay and whether you are on the brink of leveling up. Those they could make the easy cuts with were always first to go. Nothing else... — read more

MCBU layoffs

Significant re-structuring coming. NOJV-ing material parts of the DB in particular. Headcount reduction of 30% expected. We just can’t COOP like we used to.

Expected Outcome?

I would appreciate any insights or theories on what the SLM email means to FE, OPS, and Maint. Kind of sounds like letting the fox watch the h-nhouse, but maybe it’s better. I sure do t believe BM will step up or even rock the boat.

SRS email

I’m not sure what to make of the SRS email. Any insight or theories on how this affects the folks? I don’t think BD has the ability or will to protect them.

HR selections

I hear that hundreds of people have been selected in the latest org chart. Should I be nervous that I have not received a phone call? Are they going to do quick cuts then LDs cuts in 2025?

Should I be too concerned about layoffs?

I’ve been with Chevron for around fourteen months now, and I can’t help but wonder if I should even be worried about being laid off in the coming round. I've seen it mentioned here and I’ve read in several places that companies often target older... — read more

OPG Bloodbath???

With the BU’s merging into a mammoth called OPG, what’s to make of it? Seems like a lot of mangers will soon be slicing each other’s backs to compete for a chair. What about the lower PSG’s? There’s got to be some forthcoming overlap. I smell a... — read more

Why all the negativity with CEO MW?
