Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Dec 5 MW meeting

I heard big announcements at this coming engagement. Timeline for the layoffs? EOIs are what I’m interested in but any ideas?

3 days away...any rumors? I've heard that it was a "townhall" but no invites have been received. I've also heard it was going to be a video bc MW didn't want any Q&A. Anyone else have any updates?

Anyone hoping for EOI needs a reality check - won’t be offered and hasn’t been offered in areas already going thru re orgs

You are Correct Sir! I am on my way. I have been particularly noticing the IP address traffic on this website. A bit excessive during working hours, at least for those of you who actually do any work. Anyway, Got to run. Chop Chop!!!!

The Reaper and The Axeman are coming. They are sharpening their tools, including the meat cleaver. Keep your heads on a swivel. Some heads are going to roll.

BoD meeting 12/4. Ad hoc GLF meeting early morning 12/5. Announcement/video from MW afterwards. He originally was going to do a live event as this will be a BIG announcement but he was too scared to take questions.

The board will tell us that they plan to make an announcement at some undetermined point in the future.

The meeting will be how well we are doing and the “brighter” future we have with adjustments that will be made. No layoffs or EOI’s. Merry Christmas! my opinion! I know, not what you wanted to hear on a layoff site!

It’s going to be another round of bad news telling us estimated number that needs to be cut in each function in next few years. He will try to spin it as good news. He will address hybrid (due to tumors) and say he has no plans to change hybrid in 2026. He will do this so we are grateful. More smoke
and mirrors.

30% cuts in opex across the board.

Hybrid gone. Each location will determine timing. Most in Houston will return to office 4 days a week after modernization (2026 ish). Fridays still wfh and 9/80 still in place.
