Productivity is shot, and no one’s doing much of anything. Everyone’s stuck in limbo, waiting for layoffs to hit. It’s draining, and focusing feels impossible while juggling job hunting and interviews. Morale couldn’t be worse, and the tension in the air makes it even harder to get through the day. Hopefully, an offer comes through soon so there’s finally a way out of this mess for me.

Go woke and go broke.
Let me know where you work so I can find something there lol. I'm busy
Things are always slow around the holidays with so many people out on leave and PMPs done. Usually work picks up again mid Jan or so. Relax.
I've been through several layoffs over my work life. All you can do is do your job the best you can. If it happens, go out with your head held high. This is a boutique business and you never know who your next boss may be.
I dunno, we are pretty darn busy. I'm in agreement that this post is a joke or someone who desperately needs something to do or shown the door.
Apparently the consultants who orchestrate these reorgs don’t bother to mention the documented losses to productivity before and after, or the fact that companies rarely improve from reorgs - all of which has been well researched and demonstrated for years. ENGINE is going to need to essentially be magic to do what they claim, which it won’t.
Happy holidays!
No layoffs so get back to work! You should be working anyway until your last day if there were to be supposed layoffs.
Hoping things work out quickly for you. I was in the same boat. Plus other weird stuff that I couldn’t figure out why it was happening.
I applied to a growing company and accepted the offer. Been away for a few weeks. While I miss the flexible schedule and the people I worked with, it feels great to perform meaningful work while building my skillset.
I hope you find something similar. My advice - look for a growing company and don’t let the cushy schedule of chevron get in the way of making a change.
I genuinely hope this post is a joke. If y’all have time to mope around and search for jobs all day, then we def need these cuts. My team is getting worked to the bone right now, but then again, we’re just lowly field people.
What bothers me about this whole thing is there's all these rumors flying around, but upper management hasn't made any official announcement to either put people at ease or confirm larger layoffs throughout the company. It's not like they're oblivious to these rumors. Quite frankly, it's bad form.
Fingers crossed for you and everyone else that this works out favorably for y’all.
