Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Reset the clock

If you have been in charge for years at any level and now the mantra is a cultural reset surely it is you, dear leader, who is the problem? The bloated org structures, poor processes and lack of direction are not revelations to anyone nor the lack of action to address them. If we went back in time do you think anyone in charge would have shown some prescience and tried to avoid our current culture?

It's a little deeper than just return to office. Majority of our workforce comes does not work from home.

"Cultural reset" sounds like code for full-time return to the office. MW is the kind of dinosaur who came up in the era of cubicles, shirts-and-ties, and water cooler banter. He wants that back and the threat of layoffs gives him the leverage to do that.
