Something isn’t adding up with all of this after all the chatter about student engagement getting massive cuts. I have a sneaking suspicion this is just the first phase of many layoffs… does anyone else have that feeling?

I want to thank those that have been brave enough to come onto the site and give us all a heads up on layoffs, and when they were coming.

The markets are unimpressed.

Anyone have their meeting yet with HR? And, what is the severance package?

For those who have been laid off in the past couple of rounds, what have the severance packages looked like? 1 week of pay for every year worked? More?

Has anyone gotten confirmation on what departments have been impacted?

Then why do I feel disappointed?

I haven't slept all that much stressing over it. I do hope it happens today, though, because I'd rather know than have to wait for who knows how long and continue to stress.

What's pumping the price up? There may be several possibilities, but in failing companies it often means cutting expenses. Again, there could be several explanations, but labor is the easiest thing to cut.

I want to say kudos to 2U. I saw a paid partnership with an influencer on IG for edx courses. Good choice on the influencer. Good luck with the campaign.
