Getting laid off is not ideal but getting some type of severance would be better than closing up shop as this place goes under with no type of compensation when let go.

If the company wanted to be profitable they would cut the underperforming dead weight with performance or behavioral issues rather than lay off exceptional high achievers

Its almost like scamming poor people by selling them a pipe dream of a better life is bad for business, and people are finally catching on.
I tried to tell myself that this is simply what it's like working in a corporate environment, especially at a publicly traded company, but that's not the case. What we are seeing is a culmination of years of bad business steering, late decision making and a blatant disregard for actual outcomes. I'd pay big money to see a documentary made of this epic failure
