Scuttlebutt is that in June we'll see more layoffs. Anyone have reliable info abt the scope and nature of these layoffs, assuming they are actually happening? Thank you.
I will quit rather than RTO
I know I'm in the minority here, but after WFH and realizing how much more productive I am because I have no distractions while getting several extra hours with my family because I don't have to commute, I don't want to go back. Some companies are... — read more
Forced RTO is coming, go get your lube
Our department has now gotten the script for RTO, the earlier posts were dead on. It appears upper management is truly tone deaf and really doesn't care about opinions. You can be as candid as you want to be, as long as you stay in a very narrow... — read more
Wayne is a failure
Wayne and the BOD know that they have most employees by the ba--s. They know majority cannot afford to go looking for new remote jobs, and will use that as a fear monger, especially with the current job market. This isn’t the great resignation from... — read more
Every Employee is also a Member
Let your your voices be heard at the annual members meeting. Gain enough traction to force the board to remove Wayne as CEO to save face. It's a hard task, might be impossible since the board is just as incompetent. But it truly is the only way. All... — read more
Let's be clear about a few things
Now that RTO guidance was released, I see a lot of posts throughout the company of individuals asking about attrition, wondering why the company would go back on their word, all that good stuff. Let's be clear about a few things: Wayne and the... — read more
Wayne more worried about RTO than compliance!
Guess he would rather worry about RTO and not so much on paying nonstop fines for compliance. Employees are expected to do more with less, meanwhile they keep hiring leadership to support wayne. Why cant he do more with less!
RTO guidelines are out
As confirmed by a much earlier post here, the guidelines are as follows: If W@H status/remote before 4/1/21 or outside of 60 miles, will remain remote. All others will move to hybrid which is 3 days a week beginning in Sept. Starting Jan 1, 2024... — read more
4 days starting Jan 2024
In our team meeting yesterday, our director said the company is going “all in” to enforce the 3 days RTO for the rest of the year and will shift to 4 days in office effective Jan 1 2024. Basically stated Wayne isn’t f’n around anymore and wants the... — read more
Back to our bad habits and why there’s value here
I’ve read a lot of posts either saying “disconnect” from these sites or challenging motives or knowledge. If you’ve been on this side or Reddit: the accuracy is pretty on point. And genuinely, if this is causing you mental health issues, take a... — read more
RTO/Hybrid announcement?
I’m seeing a lot of post about upset employees when it comes to remote and RTO, but no context is giving. What was said? Or what is the rumor going around?
USAA can't be trusted
This is the message that we need to get out there. They lied to their employees, they'll lie to their customers. USAA can no longer be trusted. If we can get that message out in mass this will come back and bite them in the a-s.
Hired as a remote employee
For now, my status seems very uncertain as to whether I will remain remote or not. What worries me is how much more susceptible those who remain remote will be to getting rid of them in the foreseeable future?
CEO Town Hall last week in Phx Unprofessional
Not sure if anyone else was there or saw the recording but I was actually floored when Wayne pretty much made fun of remote workers saying they learned in the attack or basement. The attitude about workers in general was a joke and all I got out of... — read more
Wells Fargo Leadership destroying USAA
It was so predictable that when they hired the likes of Mani Sulur and George S and Lesley Collins that they would bring their nonsense from Wells to USAA! Using the forced attrition with location strategy method is complete nonsense. There is a... — read more
RTO woes
Word on the street is that the additional "guidance" on RTO that Wayne promised two weeks ago is coming out sometime today. And it likely won't be pretty. Mentally prepare yourself.
There is no trust here at all
The example of RTO clearly shows how little trust this company has in its employees. On the other hand, perhaps the trust we have in the management of this company is even less?
One major mistake
Since USAA broke their own protocols and changed leadership from prior service to civilians and the association is moving backwards. We lost pride and the morale is down. Sad to see USAA heading in the wrong direction. This is one of the main... — read more
RTO Not for all
The recent mandated RTO has not been enforced for all depts. Just ask anyone who works in the CFO office. Hybrid employees are being asked to be in office 3 days, but permanent work from home employees have been advised to continue working remotely... — read more
More layoffs happening soon?
There's chatter of more layoffs sometime soon. Is there anybody here who could tell us more about it?
Pay Raise
Has anyone gotten a significant pay raise when being promoted from Sr. To Lead? Anything in the 40-50% range? Also which LOB as I’ve heard bank is better pay.
For the fully remote employees…
Anyone hear anything through the grapevine? I’m not located near any of the offices and was hired semi-recently as a fully remote tech employee. With the recent layoffs and RTO mandate, things seem dreadful and I feel pretty isolated from my... — read more
I don't care anymore
I'm tired of worrying about what will happen to this company and how management's moves will affect its future. Why should we care about it more than those at the top who are paid to do so? Everyone should primarily think of themselves and... — read more

Closing offices to save money
I'm not EMG, nor do I have a fancy MBA. But it seems the easiest way to "cut costs" would be to close one (or more) of the regional offices that's barely being used, is having trouble hiring, and isn't a major "talent hub". It seems the solution is... — read more

Wrong people let go - again
