Better to know its coming or not...

I have been asking myself this question since last week when I found this site. Of course then I thought it was a one and done and once Thursday passed I was relieved and glad I had the "heads up" as it gave me time to plan and prepare (as best... — read more

Prepare, Don’t Panic

••• I was laid off last Thursday. I received an email Wednesday afternoon for a conspicuous meeting with my manager the next day in a first floor meeting room (not his office). I was laid off the next day. If you get a meeting invite with the subject... — read more

When?

We all know more is coming. But my main issue is when? I'm tired of being stuck stressing over the possibility of layoffs happening at any moment 24/7. Let's get it over with already! I'd rather be laid off and knowing than whatever this is right... — read more

Offered Severance? Please share

If anyone impacted is being offered severance please discuss here if you could, I’m sure there are many people that could benefit from knowing what is on the table.

Layoffs are coming... again, again

I created the initial post calling layoffs starting the week of 07-14-25 (https://www.thelayoff.com/post/@OP+1jzk1a9kr). Initial estimates put that wave at around 140-160 associates, or roughly 2%, far below the target of 5-10%. Layoffs will continue... — read more

Any info on Distribution/Marketing reorg?

After everything went down on Thursday CW all but confirmed a reorg was coming with TM's "retirement" and everyone now rolling up to DS. Seems as though they also laid off a few remaining TM loyalists. At this point we don't know if we should expect... — read more

Top Brass Are Plugging Leaks

Seems like we all know more is coming down this week but the rumor mill has run dry whereas a week ago management was leaking like a sieve. I would bet management noticed there were leaks and people being forewarned about layoffs so now they’ve... — read more

The leadership needs to go

They don't give a damn about us, they don't give a damn about the company, they only care about their own bonuses and whatnot. Sharps is quick to lay people off and he's making millions of dollars! His pay went up from nearly $13M to $19.5M last year... — read more

Is this confirmed regarding layoffs?

There will def be more layoffs in techops and tech adjacent roles. They'll be cutting mainframe support roles as soon as the mainframe transition is complete in a couple months. They'll be looking to cut more people before the end of the year so... — read more

So basically… we still know nothing?

We still don’t know if the layoffs are over, how many people they’ve been targeting, or how many in the US are actually going to be cut. Silence is deafening.

Still trying to process being laid off

One moment everything feels stable, and then it’s just gone. It’s hard not to let your mind run wild with worry. For anyone who’s been through this, how did you keep yourself grounded? I could really use some guidance right now.

More layoffs

I highly doubt this was it. Any thoughts on how long we're safe for before layoffs continue?

Were any areas safe?

It's hard to get comprehensive info about the layoffs, but I'm genuinely curious if there were any areas that were safe in this round? And if the answer is yes, on an unrelated note, are you hiring?

Collective vs Individual Consultation

Is the firm not required to enter into collective consultation, given it appears more then 20 individuals have been let go? I understand they are only doing individual consultation?

Get rid of the deadwood in Distribution

The firm lost a lot of good people. A lot of the blame should go to the deadwood in Distribution. Don't get me wrong there are a few good people in that division. However, it has become filled with lazy, useless, superficial salespeople who are more... — read more

Sigh…what now

I’ve been actively looking for a new role for the past 6 months, I read the writing on the wall and the time finally came (and more to come). I feel bad as someone who already wants to leave, yet wasn’t impacted. I truly feel for those who were let... — read more

Mutiny

Ive heard all this from many former colleagues there. Sad to see such a great firm fall apart so fast. Best thing all of you could do on Monday is show up and stand in that big new lobby they have in unity as everyone arrives...don't go to your... — read more

Make decisions that are right for you

If you were just laid off, I know how overwhelming it feels right now, but take a breath and start moving one step at a time. I applied to over 100 jobs when it happened to me, and it took a while, but I ended up with multiple interviews and three... — read more

This will have consequences

The leadership thinks swapping out experienced folks for cheaper new hires and outsourced labor is smart business, but it always backfires. Morale tanks when solid people get cut, and most of the ones left start looking for exits. You can’t build... — read more

I feel bad about not being laid off

From what I've read in some threads, there was a limited voluntary round before this. If this is true, why didn't they make it available to all of us? Plenty of us are here only until something better pops up. Taking severance would work perfectly... — read more

Layoff Messaging Failure

I have to say, the vague messaging around this round of layoffs is a real failure. Instead of giving your associates the facts, we're forced to attempt to make sense of what's happening in this very public forum. I don't think our investors would... — read more

I can understand offshoring, to an extent

It’s simple-minded, short-sighted, and not particularly strategic. And clients suffer too. But when decisions are driven purely by numbers, it makes a certain kind of sense. Outsourcing to local consultancies, though? They just offshore too, and take... — read more

There's a lot of reorganization happening

I can only assume that means more layoffs are coming. Not necessarily a major round, but small groups here and there. Just enough to ensure we never get even a day or two of peace of mind.

Prepare for increased workload

I'm betting you that we'll have to do the extra work now that people have been kicked out. There'll be no backfilling, that's for sure, but the volume of work will stay the same. They don't care if we'll be able to do it, it'll just be expected... — read more
