NS WHEELS AND TRACTION MOTORS

JLS wheel shop and traction motor work to be outsourced. Reason cited is rising cost and overhead. Managers unable to tackle the problem of craft workers laying down on the job.

Bellevue imploding on its self.

Poor management in all departments. Overreach of discipline. Guys quitting, going off sick, trains sitting. How long will the crown jewel last before contractors own the place?

Mandatory overtime…..

How is it legal for this company to force people to work 8 hours past their normal 8 hour work day? And if they refuse they are threatened to be fired? Not what I signed up for 15 years ago and was never a thing until recently.

JLS callbacks

Ready or not, there will be a substantial callback after the first of the year. Expect it to be in the 120-130 range, all crafts. Whether you go back or not the option will be there.

I can't find a new job

I haven't been able to find a new job for months now. I have the option to stay here and wait to be cut or accept an even worse job. It seems that for a better job you have to look for something outside the rail road industry? I would love to hear... — read more
