They are training CTs for FOUR WEEKS before marking them up! This doesn't count the Atlanta/McDonough time. That being said- ITS PATHETIC! We are already seeing record amounts of injuries (see amputations) in workers will less than a year seniority. It's a danger to the workers, coworkers and railroad bottom line. How many deaths will it take? Will the FRA need to finally step in with a firmer hand? How does the FRA have a certification program but let's the railroad each dictate the terms of that? There should be a national standard of training hours/requirements!

Safety Fourth !
FRA is in the company's pocket. Corruption is whats allowing all of this to happen. Anything the company needs the FRA allows.
The “Business Man” guy needs some new material. Used it way too often on this sight to carry any weight.
From 2017-2020 NS shed jobs, in 2021 the job shedding stops and legislation is introduced to make 2 person crews the law. Let’s Go Brandon...straight to a second term!!!
The railroad is like the NFL. It is a copy cat league. Whenever 1 does something like PSR, they all soon follow. NS played that game like a drunken soldier running into a whole house at 3am. Now look at them. Can't keep up with the insanity they created.
This is why FELA was created in the first place.
Well maybe so many of you shouldn't have voted for a "Business Man" to president in 2016 along with the Republican Party. Did you really not expect greed and corporate greed in general, would be given the green light?
That's why we should only use the 250,000 pound GP 38-2.
And many of us had to do 6-7 months at training pay before we were marked up. 4 weeks on property you still have no idea what's going on. And they are making 80% that quickly for the tradeoff of being a danger to themselves and others.
The equipment knows no hate and takes no prisoners. 400,000 lbs of locomotives turns humans into paste.
