Happy Monday

2 more weeks until August, a Brand New Month!

Nimble

How is Nimble Storage's integration with HPE going?

Loyalty does not go both ways

People do quit HPE to go to where the grass is greener, I have seen it... Also, there's a lot more loyalty (actually wanting and trying to do a good job for customers especially, and then also for the stockholders) flowing from employees, than there... — read more

Severance packages at HP?

Does anybody know what severance packages look like these days at Hewlett Packard? I have read they have been changed for the worse, but nobody is putting down any actual details, just saying it is bad. I would be really grateful if somebody could... — read more

HPE vacation time policy is regressive

Where else do you start at zero hours of PTO at the beginning of the year and can't roll it over at the end? Wtf? Anyone know if micro focus operates the same way?

Roots of the Issue

All of this mess, the decline, the incompetent management, the layoffs, all of it really goes back to one small body of self-perpetuating people, from Fiorina onwards, and even before: the Board of Directors. There you will find the people that have... — read more

Laid-off 6/30 Round

I was recently let go by HPE and it effect a few folks in my region. But I haven't seen any postings or notifications that there was a layoff? Severance package was weak and loyalty is definitely lost. HPE was heading in the right direction and now... — read more

Encourage WFR

To a certain extend, WFR isn't executed extensively. Hoping for more WFR in months to come.

Does HPE offer any expat packages

With layoffs coming, I'm assuming not great, but younger and interested in an overseas assignment. Not looking for barrage of negativity, just some answers on what options are available, if any.

Former HP contractors who traveled on NMCI contract

If you were an HP contractor that was required to travel for the NMCI contract, please Google the law firm that represents the victims famlies of the Navy Yard Shooting. Let them know how negligent HP management was with the travel expense... — read more

What is the real skinny regarding Severancre

I was laid off on 4/17 after I was approved then delayed layoff before HPe became DXC. I received 11 weeks pay because of my length of service time (over 30 years) and was not informed by my Manager of anything else. I filed for unemployment and was... — read more

Why is no one talking about the #s?

How has his last layoff been so hidden? My support was laid off and I'm inundated with crap and have no one to help! Last Monday was brutal here in Plano and from my understanding everywhere. What's the verdict on fjnal #s? I can name 30 here alone

Laid off with no severance

My BIL was let go in this last HPE layoff round and they are not giving him any severance. They are not even paying him for accrued vacation time. Is this even legal? He has been with HP/HPE for 15 years but is one of those who started with DEC which... — read more

HPE layoffs in Chippewa Falls

Do you have any updates on layoffs by HPE in Chippewa Falls. I've left HPE in 2016, after 11 long years with the company I've seen it flourish and then fall on its knees. Years of mismanagement, wrong strategic moves, and simply incompetent... — read more

Will HPE ever get proper management?

HPE will continue to struggle until major changes are made at the Sr. level. Too many Sr. managers who don't understand the business they are managing. They in turn hire others who have no clue...and so on. Hiring is based on friendships and politics... — read more

6/19 WFR tally

Anyone? Seems to have been largely overblown, no?

Another round

I and a few mates on my team just got the ax. So it looks like another big round of layoffs are hitting today.

Severance

What is the package if an employee is wfr'd? Pay, healthcare, etc? I've heard a couple of variations- I'm in Houston.

The demise of HPE is near

It's all smoke and mirrors now at HPE. Nothing left but financial manipulation and massive self promotion. More layoffs are in planning for the upcoming holiday season (October through November). Overly complicated hardware is no longer relevant in a... — read more

Low morale

Here are some of the reasons employees, partners and customers lose trust on HPE. 1) Meg's interest is in politics not technology. 2) Executives only focus on pleasing investors not customers. 3) Multiple reorganizations caused mental stress to... — read more

Microfocus spinoff vs dxc vs hpe

Does anyone think the MF spinoff could come out as the most successful entity out of the three mentioned? Dxc is a disaster and it seems MW is getting ready to take HPE private. The Microfocus venture can't do worse than these two, can it?

HPE Next

From Meg's email this morning: "HPE Next will produce the long-term operating and financial blueprint for our company. It is a project on par in scope with any of the recent separations we’ve managed and is likely to determine HPE’s relevance in the... — read more

6/12 WFR

June 19th- who stays, who goes?

June 19th is the rumored day for WFR's... is it going to be primarily out of one group/country? Sticking with the older employees? No one feels safe anymore... such a shame!

2500 layoffs estimate

Assuming that each employee costs approximately $100K per year, then HPE would need to layoff approximately 2500 employees to reduce costs by $250M. That would mean that one out of every 22 employees at HPE will get the ax by the second quarter.

15% getting cut

Just found out that more lay-offs are happening today in Enterprise Security products.
