A friend of mine was let go in massive layoff 2-3 years ago. He wants to join back. He was given 4-3 rating. Pure politics. Can he rejoin ?

For all of you on the chopping block, take the severance package, go on vacation. And then be on the lookout for a job again at Nike. Most likely, your old job will be posted, and with a little bit of luck, you may even get it. The over-hiring hype never ends at Nike.

Has anyone returned to the company after a layoff? It’s been a few years since I was let go, so interested to see if anyone has comeback and what their experience was like. I’ve realized the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. I’m also aware that the company is still going through layoffs so it may not be an ideal time to come back.

People are getting rehired by DELL after years of working for other employers. Why so many people are returning to DELL is the question. Is it because the other employers gave them higher salaries and were better managed companies? Find the answer for yourselves which will depend on your intelligence level!

Hey everyone. Ex-FR here from a PM Market, laid off beginning of the summer. just got the strangest text. My old boss has reached out to me and said that there is an open FR position. I’m curious if others have been approached due to people jumping ship or if because SMP didn’t go well and they need more hands on deck? Don’t think they can offer me enough that would bring me back after I’ve tasted freedom along with kicking me to the curb after 9 years out of nowhere.

I’m a boomerang and I’m proud of it. I left Nielsen thinking that there were greener pastures elsewhere but learned that corporate life everywhere is just a mess. I had gone to a competitor of Nielsen and the turmoil there is significantly worse.

Yes, Nielsen has some issues but honestly, it’s the best place I worked prior to leaving and I’m thrilled to be back. The grass is definitely not greener on the other side. I’m glad I left on my own terms when I did so I could come back with a different perspective.

Good luck everyone. I was part of the 1% who got laid off today. I was expecting a re-org but the layoff was very unexpected. I still believe in Nike, and hope to come back.
