Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

People are flocking back to DELL!!

People are getting rehired by DELL after years of working for other employers. Why so many people are returning to DELL is the question. Is it because the other employers gave them higher salaries and were better managed companies? Find the answer for yourselves which will depend on your intelligence level!

complete bullsh-t. There is no "flocking" back to Dell. In fact, good luck in finding any sort of job in tech at this point. Average in finding a job right now is 9 months. The job coaches you get to use when you get WFR'd will tell you this.

@b5 I have known people over the years who came back. One left for Red Hat, came back years later. Another went to Cisco, came back two years later. One guy was let go, came back three years later.
Maybe because they know the people and have the skills? Or, like everyone else, desperate?

SB hiring anyone with a pulse and who can be onsite. Ppl laid off from other companies are easily granted access into SB… they are fast tracked into MB, then laid off when they can hit their high quotas with terrible account sets. It’s luck at this point, on what your account sets looks like. You used to be able to keep your accounts, grow with them. Not anymore.

The brown nosers get good accounts. They do well. They play the game. Lots of layoffs for ppl who high salaries…only for Dell to rehire some of them and others in SB, for a 1/7 of the salary.

Define ‘flocking’.
Is it the way Broadway producers describe a hit? “It didn’t close the first night.”

It must be all the AI and ML hands-on technical experience they gained at innovative companies and now they are apparently desperate to go back to Dell 🤔🫣

You aren't entirely wrong, weirdly enough... My best friend worked for Dell for 8 years and was laid off 3 years ago. He found a new job at a smaller corporation and he said that a LOT of people are going back to Dell - who had already worked there previously.

The wording on this post hurt my brain. They always say “Dell is your best first and last job.” IYKYK
