Topics regarding layoffs at Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi

HR should seriously be considered to be let go.

A very useless group of smug people who put forth more effort to not help you than any other group in Citi. All I’ve ever gotten from them is busted links or links to FAQ’s which have nothing to do with my initial question.

DevOps teams inside Citi ?

Seems DevOps team are scrutinized and shuffled. Do Developers need to look after DevOps too ?

VOE farce, the shame of it all.

When the VOE hits, no one will dare say a thing about the way the layoff is handled out of fear….as usual. So when the results are in, the feedback will be “I guess we didn’t do so bad after all, the results are much better than we expected” . So... — read more

Pro Citi naysayer mentality

Who are the pro citi naysayers? The naysayer group are wide and varying. Composed of HR plants, prideful managers, koolaid drinkers, and brown noser’s. Why are they hardcore pro citi naysayers on this board? I believe most of it can fall into... — read more

How are you guys doing so far? I miss the COVID days.. had two offers from GS and JPM within two months of each other and took the Citi match to not RTO. Nowadays I barely get any bites, it's exhausting.

Is it too risky to work here?

I just got a new job offer as a VP in compliance but hearing of all the restructuring and layoffs scares me. On the other hand if you make it out the other side it may not be such a bad thing. What say you.

2024 will be a bull market. Make your move then.

Maybe not now at the onset but overall before its over with, this year has a good chance of being a bull market. Of course nothing is for certain but after each recession, there is a strong bull run. Are we in a recession, yes, no, maybe. Most... — read more

Citi “No compete” vs moving oh so on

No compete is for vendors we do business with, not the competition. We work with and have a no compete with company ABC. You can’t leave Citi and go to work for company ABC for 1 year. If let go by Citi, the no compete is null and void. The no... — read more

The hones truth for us all.

I have never bought anything with money. Everything I have was bought with pieces of time I sold from my life to a job that will never have paid enough when my time is up. No, those long days are not worth it.
