NYC Employees: What are the severance terms?

Someone in another thread cited a "very generous severance package."

I was under the impression that if you have only been with the company for a couple of years, you get 12 weeks of your base pay (i.e., 12 weeks of "notice")...and that's it, no?

(To be clear, this is OK with me but not exactly extraordinary.)

Because replies aren’t needed. This is laid out in the employee handbook, a pdf on seperation pay, and a dozen other posts.

So for NYC employees making >$100K, that means a minimum of 24 weeks of compensation from the date of notification? (That's fantastic, if true.)

90 days WARN specific for NY, 60 days for other states, then minimum 12 week salary if you make 100k+. Otherwise its 2 weeks per year of service
