While many staffs at L7 and L8 are impacted with layoffs, there seems to be few promotions in tech at director levels as part of the org simplification (sounds contradictory)..
Senior mgmt protecting/promoting itself at the expense of working level.

We had to create boxes for all the roles we need in the new organization. There are some with promotions. I am sure this is true all over.
not shocking at all. weren't they promoting the other day some 300+ new MDs - while on the other hand clipping some others? (shrug)
Yeah. I saw a few Chief Admin Officers (super administrative assistants) get promoted to director recently. It is concerning.
