Unofficial layering

Most level 6 and 7s are doing unofficial layering. The reporting lines are only for the Global directory. You never get invited to weekly meetings with your boss and made to report to your peer who was your boss in the earlier structure. Anyone facer this?

OMG! So I'm not alone in all this. Yes. This is happening to me. It's 100% grade A cr-p. BTW not all managers have 25+ people. What about the ones who only have 7-8? There are many who do NOT take the time to meet with their directs or leave it to incompetent leads who only wanted the pay boost and don't like people.

Almost every MD / D in tech has done the unofficial layering. Randomly moved lvl 7 and lvl 8 staffs. BCG has done a lousy governance job, should have compared pre and post staff reporting.

Tech management failed to cut middle management layer on 4, 5 & 6. Presume it is the same in other segments.

What do you expect them to do??. If you were not a direct before, you didn't qualify to be a direct so fast just because BcG wants 8x8..

No way the manager is going to have 20 1X1 calls weekly..

Not the problem of Level 7 and 8 managers. Blame BcG...
