Whiting refinery has been stealthily and insidiously laying employees off. Nobody is safe - expect more waves of layoffs to come.

why has muzza been paid millions of pounds to preside over such value destruction? anyone could have done that
Annual Raise %?
Is the percentage standard across everyone or does it vary by performance? I received 2% but I am curious to hear if anyone received more.
Been told I'm in-scope for redundancy
I had a call with a senior manager today where I was told my job is 'in scope' for the transformation change and the next step is group consultation. Am I right in assuming myself and around 20-30 of my colleagues will be on the same call where we're... — read more

BP’s bosses have lost all credibility
This is an article in yesterday's UK Times. I have copied it here in full, rather than the link because it is behind a paywall. From net zero to year zero. The BP boss Murray Auchincloss, promised a “fundamental reset” and, at least on paper, he’s... — read more
MA slept like a baby after “Reset” ramblings
His quote reported in the news. That’s nearly as bad as TH wishing he could just get his life back following the horrible loss of life at Macondo. While he sleeps soundly after that colossal failure of a “reset” the rest of us not sleeping like... — read more
Thoughts on internal reset call
Thoughts? Questions? I found it interesting that so much time was taken to explain why the stock price went down.
Capital markets update
God Murray is a terrible presenter! Bumbling along, no charisma, he is not a CEO. Kate on the other hand is doing a fantastic presentation, clear and passionate. Can we swap them round and hide Murray away again?!
The sh-tshow continues
what a disaster...bP continues to be a laughing stock.
another reorg for us, Castrol loosers
So, the current reorg has not yet finished, but they have just announced another, just for us, Castrol loosers. A "strategic review" of Castrol, OMG, this company is such a joke. Just sell us, for f*cks sake.
Murrays Reset....
So the email just came out. The 4-5 billion of savings to be made....is that on top of the 2 billion we've failed to reach, or an extension of that target?
BP SIGNS $25bn DEAL
According to the UK Times, BP has signed a $25bn deal to redevelop Iraq's oil and gasfields.
Regretfully, I’m still here

Why doesn’t the public know?
Why have we not seen the real reason for the latest layoffs at bp and their cross-town friends at Chevron? That all the cost savings and simplifying is being done by moving jobs from the US and UK eastward?

Change in middle mgmt & toxic behavior?
Anyone else notice middle mgmt engineering changes in 2024 were for the worst? Toxic environments created to purposefully drive good performing people out and those that remain are put on PIPs purposefully?

CVX to layoff 15-20%

All the blame on refining
Kate started the performance update by putting all the blame for our 2024 performance on refining specifically calling out Whiting. That is a deliberate signal. We should expect more to come on that during the strategy update at CMD.
Is Whiting Refinery Next?
Struggling to make a profit, no projects in the pipeline, and Whiting found another way to waste money by adding a new line of F grade managers. What is keeping bp from putting Whiting up for sale?
ACB Scorecard results
What everyone thinks about ACB scorecard results? Any comparisons with other historical low years?
It’s only a matter of time before BP becomes AP (American Petroleum)
And I’m all for it. America makes BP the most money yet the Bri-ish LT show disdain towards us at every turn and very openly. Especially Murray.
