Downstream is margin based. Upstream requires long term vision. BL had neither - a driller! Come on. TE has shown what he can do.

In what way is downstream more complicated than upstream? If you went from downstream to upstream and worked production, you only saw a small sliver of what upstream does. Go dabble in subsurface and then form an opinion…

Having worked for him, I always knew he would have never gotten behind the boards plan. Made no sense to turn your back on your products and required way too much government support that you not get.

@OP Yes, definitely. He was more about doing his job properly than the image conscious philanderer, BL, ever was. TE hs been delivering great results for RR, its employees and its shareholders.
