My crew is the only thing keeping me sane

We are a tight team. We all can rely on each other. Every one of them is a decent human being you can count on in work and personal crises. That’s the only thing keeping me from worrying all the time about bloody furloughs.

Living in fear..

Anyone else's complete shop just dreading everyday is going to be furlough day? Are they going to shut us down, are we going to be an emergency RT point? Are we going to be completely eliminated or just going to leave us alone? When will It end and... — read more

Let's talk about something.

One thing I don't understand. Carman are one of the crafts if not the only craft that can bill for foreign work. (X cars- cars that end in x which the railroad doesn't own) All of this work has to be done by someone and is pure profit for the... — read more

5.3 BILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLION!!

While this company just got through laying off alot more people, daddy B felt a little generous with the profits you made him and donated 5.3 billion to charity. Someone pinch me and wake me up because this cannot be real life.

What’s the total damage?

So what are the actual totals so far? It seems like they keep laying off in the same locations. When is this nonsense going to quit? When is this constant push for numbers and production propaganda going to quit? It’s not like any of these production... — read more

Writing is on the rail, BNSF is on the chopping block

Jusifiable

Most of you are sitting around putting more hours in your personal mobile devices than the actual time working. A bunch sitting on their butt equal to some reduction. BNSF did not hire you for that.

OP was right after all

All the talk of rumors and just like that BNSF delivers, lay-off.com was right again, we will see what the math adds up to after the dust settles to see what the numbers add up to.

Layoffs are here, brace for incoming

Rumor is mechanical just got hit. 6 machinists, 6 electricians, 4 laborers on the Red River. These management types don't like thelayoff.com? Wait until these guys who got laid off hear about Glassdoor.com Fu-k this company.

Weird!

Looks like it was all rumors folks. We’re nearing the end of June and not a single thing happened like the OP said was going to happen. That’s the railroad for you, rumors never end at this place.

Messed Up

Mechanical Apprentices

Word is they are coming for apprentices next. Management has been working on early retirements but it would cost too much in the short term. So the route they will probably take is cut apprentices soon.

BNSF does not care about you

BNSF does not care about their own properties. You are not any different than a spike. Numbers is just a number. BNSF is gonna make money in both ways, profits from rail transporting and cutting off their limbs to sell.
