Starting a post where we can track what we all believe will happen or does happen on Oct. 1st the beginning of the 4th quarter. Awfully quiet from leadership, they do not even bother to say "We don't know" anymore. Good luck to all

The carrier offered job protection in 2014. Smart would not agree. What changed 10 years later? - Hi-VIz, contracting out yards, PSR, no early quits. We have to ask ourselves are things better or worse? The lack of definitions in the contract should be a major red flag. The carrier appears to have a lot of options, for you not so much. Some of us remember the investigations for malicious compliance to rules. Yes you read that right, they put us under investigation for following their rules too closely. The good old bad old days are coming back.
I only a year in with the company as conductor. Does the tentative Smart-TD agreement offer those of us in the union any protection? I know it hasn’t been voted on yet, but are we all still subject to furloughs with that in the works or not?
They have laid off the start of every quarter so far this year, why not keep up the trend
