Then consider how many jobs have been lost since February, and what crafts have taken the biggest hits. If the company agreed to a contract before the contract expired, which is a first in a long time, then the stage is being set for what crafts are going to take the hit after peak season is over. The whole new jobs being created while axing two, the brakeman and the switchman, with the creation of a traveling RUP, means effectively one man crews and a road conductor that ties brakes for multiple trains in an 8 or 12 hour period, how many across the system would that cut for the benefit of the company.
