Failed HR

Plenty of employee mistreatment and favoritism happens at Walgreens. You gotta ask if an HR department even exists in the company. Why are they pathetically ineffective? Neal hiring his friends and family etc are blatant violations. Either Burger is... — read more

Return To Office Tracking

I heard the Directors are going to get a list of people that are not going into an office at least 3 days a week. Is there any truth to this? They said even if you go in 2 days a week, it'll be marked as you not going in at all.

Think twice before signing the Retention Payout

This approach allows companies to reduce severance cost liabilities by preemptively paying portions of it now. Struggling companies—especially those looking to sell—will prioritize minimizing financial obligations wherever possible. Step one is often... — read more

Can someone explain to me

How Walgreens has had two of the absolute worst CIOs back to back? Hsiao and Neal are literally the most tone deaf, self centered, arrogant, and ill equipped CIOs to have ever held the position. How could Walgreens have made this bad of a choice... — read more

2025 Layoffs

Does anyone have concrete knowledge that more rounds of layoffs are coming January 2025 or beyond?

Simply sad.....

When you think about what this company once was and now is. Amazing was what used to follow any discussion related to a Walgreens and its people, culture, and value as a company. So many talented people over the years gave their time and energy... — read more

Stock is below $10 again

Wall Street is not buying the story of closing 1200 stores to profitability anymore. Stock keeps going down and lot of hardworking employees will lose their jobs.

How to Fix Walgreens

Cut the size of the stores by 75%. Make them like convenience stores. Depending on the state, sell booze, cigarettes. Profits would soar.

1200 stores? That's 1200 store managers...where are they going, and with ESM's where are you promoting them to? Store managers and ESM's doesn't look very good for a career does it.

Decision to close 1200 stores is not a shocker
