Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Well...Well....Well Mr. CEO, Board of Directors........the ethical company just keeps it up......

The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ:WBA) in Illinois federal court for dispensing millions of unlawful prescriptions over a 12-year period, driving Walgreens (NASDAQ:WBA) shares sharply lower in after-hours trading.

According to the DOJ lawsuit, Walgreens (WBA) and its subsidiaries, filled prescriptions – many of which were for controlled substances that lacked a legitimate medical purpose – with clear red flags without taking the time to confirm their validity in violation of the Controlled Substances Act (“CSA”).

In response, Walgreens defended the company and its pharmacists, and accused the government of enforcing “arbitrary” rules that weren’t on the books.

Of course they do. Lets see how much they settle for while stating they haven't done anything wrong.
