Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

What an IMPRESSIVE 2024 for the so called CEO and so called Board of failures, I mean Directors...

Over the longer term, Walgreens’ performance has remained dismal. WBA has plummeted 41.8% over the past six months and 64.5% over the past 52 weeks. And they now have what I would say is the worst employee morale in the business world. Do they read these? Not a chance probably, but maybe they should. And what they are about to do to this company within the next month is beyond shameful.

I don't think that anyone actually KNOWS about upcoming layoffs. The keyword here is KNOWS; I'm not saying they are not gonna happen, there are many many indications that may happen soon, I just believe that no one (in this forum at least) knows something that other people don't (e.g. the state of the company)

To anyone with all this knowledge on upcoming layoffs, any call centers slated to close?

The stock surged to $10.50 when the news of sale to private equity came out. It is now back at $9 levels. It is a sign that PE deal may not happen or PE is offering a low price for Walgreens. PE sale or not, you should expect more layoffs.
