Yes when they suddenly want you in the office, they want to file people through HR as they do layoffs, is my thought. Too hard to do them via Zoom

Original poster: Can you share insight into whether layoffs are happening on Friday?

Didn’t even hear/see TB doing that after the town hall. Is something still happening this week?

Tim literally said he hadn’t heard of any further planned layoffs.

Anyone know why Tracey B was bringing individual colleagues into a room in the 200 B building (2nd floor) the day after her townhall?

My manager's boss (reports directly to TB) just told us in our team meeting that hybrid employees MUST be in office Tuesday-Thursday, per TB's request.

Is this a way of weeding people out?

In DF also... I wonder if the seating arrangements have anything to do with layoffs? Def a weird vibe today around Deerfield...

in Deerfield today and overheard the office next to me discussing finalizing new org chart. So I would assume more than 200 are going this month if they are literally re-doing the org chart.

You think TB cares about anyone? Please…
Let’s just agree that layoffs are happening this month, at SOME point.

Feel good vibe is nonexistent in Walgreens.

If they do big layoffs before the townhall, it would kinda put a damper on the "feel good vibe" of the meeting.

The last minute reschedule in TB townhall makes it seem like something will be announced.

Stop no one on this site knows what is going happen. There are some people here just trolling to get everyone nervous and they are just laughing when they make unjustified statements.

There will be few rounds of layoff

Yeah... I do NOT think it will be Jan 31. I think it will be BEFORE TB's Town Hall on the 21st, as previous poster said.

TB town hall on the 21st, possibly before that!? Would be tone deaf to do it right after that but then again I wouldn’t put it past this leadership

EXACTLY! Thank you to the previous poster... if you are in the know, PLEASE share concrete details!

If you’re someone that’s “in-the-know” and have the details…. Why not share those details instead of allowing the fear mongering to continue? It’s anonymous on this site….

Will changes/layoffs be announced BEFORE January 31?

Roughly $10M is being forecasted to reduce operating expense after submissions for different divisions. My guess it’s due to layoffs

mass layoff will happen in multiple steps. ultimately, each org will be impacted

No matter which org you are, layoff happens everywhere. There is no money and they are selling the company.

Yea, we should return it if we are laid off. This is very clear there won’t be money

by

Post ID: @k7+1jgq095f9

The retention bonus agreement says we should return it even if we are laid off. Is it not true?

by

Post ID: @k5+1jgq095f9

They even mentioned if you are layoff you should return the money. Don’t waist your time. When layoffs happen, finding a new job won’t be easy. Leave asap

Read the conditions of the retention award, it is really just an early severance payout if you are laid off before September 1st 2025.
