A ton of rumors.

Sysco laid off several food safety program managers last week. They are combining some locations with one manager over seeing 2 locations. Not sure how many in total but my best guess is over a dozen throughout the country.

Three people from Marketing were laid off on yesterday at corporate B building. Didn’t Bene state no more layoffs?

Credit and A/R both will have layoffs, positions being eliminated

I can confirm that nationwide accounting departments such as AR, AP and Credit are being eliminated at the local level. Our last day is in March 2019.

10/23/18. Sysco Houston Inc. is laying off the entire Finance department. The word is that Sysco will be outsourcing their accounting. AR/AP and Credit teams are all being laid off.

I would not pay too much attention on what haters say. Just do your job and you will be fine.

How many times do we need to be surprised by executives - do you think that we might have job cuts in corporate again - here in Houston.

More with less. The last layoff was really unorganized. People were told they were going to be laid off then asked to work an additional month or two. What other company does that?

Nothing new - SYSCO is going thru a crisis right now but it's a well managed company (or so we like to claim) - the path is clear and execution is disciplined. I used to work for Sysco in Sacramento (7062 Pacific Avenue, Pleasant Gr, CA 95668)
