Anyone have any details on the new compensation plan for non-executive band employees?

Expect layoffs for 273 very soon

People were talking about bringing in Aviation into 273 because this big building is not being used in the fullest capacity possible. They keep shrinking the bar shop and Consolidating the jobs. I wonder why? Eventually one guy will be doing 3 jobs... — read more

Leave GE on Your Own Terms

It’s so funny to read these posts. Same stuff over and over again. Across the board, hourly or salary, if you are still working at Schenectady you must have no real talent or so little ambition that you are willing to circle the drain with the rest... — read more

When did you feel most disrespected here?

Giving layoffs to great employees is the pinnacle of disrespect, however, rarely does anyone feel respected while working here. I personally do not know anyone who feels respected here. I didn’t feel humiliated at all when they told me they... — read more

Always excuses

Do they think about growth at all? What is their vision of this company? It seems that all they have are short-term goals and excuses why things are not going well. They are never to blame for their moves, it is always our fault or the situation that... — read more

The Layoffs are in process

Blame nepotism, blame the 2 tier wage packages, blame the CA Agreement, blame the union, blame each other for not doing to much work, blame each other for doing to much work. At the end of the day I got my paycheck for this week and soon I won’t be... — read more

To stop nepotism is urgent

Can flagrant nepotism be stopped here at all? I wouldn’t belittle anyone, but.... I used to work with people who were top experts at their jobs, and now I work with average people who have special connections here. It is sad and demotivating for all... — read more

How is that CA Agreement working out now? Sold jobs for a buck! T rates ruined the history of the 301 and what the union built for the future.

T rates Sold out for a buck and higher healthcare to do 4-5 people’s job codes. Soon there will be 200 people working in 273 and it’s coming sooner than you think. All management has to do is keep piling on the work to one guy to keep that guy busy... — read more

Greenville or Schenectady, where is it worse?

You think Greenville is bad, come to Schenectady and you will change your viewpoint on how bad you've got it. I can hardly believe that anywhere could be worse than Greenville.

Other than a paycheck

What’s the point? Where is the long term plan to provide anything of real value towards employees or to build up GE for any kind of future growth? There isn’t any. I’ve become numb to anything that comes out of management’s mouths. I’ve become used... — read more

Two-Tier Atrocities

The pi-s and vinegar fights between T and D rates created nothing but division on every GE plant floor. Good going GE and everyone whose arm was twisted into thinking a tier rate is a great idea. Besides GE, who got a feather in their cap for... — read more
