Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Did you save a lot by working from home?

I didn't make a detailed calculation, but I made significant savings by working from home. I knew that WFH would not last forever and there are also benefits of working in an office of course (for example it is easier to have a work- life balance), but saving is one of the biggest reasons why I would like to continue working from home.

@4oml+1bwRomfv. GE Appliances was bought out by the Chinese company Haier a few years back, and bought the use of the GE name etc for 40 years. So to your question, if anybody buys their junk it will certainly need repairs, good luck.

I am looking to begin working for GE appliances soon. Is this something I should do or should I keep looking?

I’m saving a lot for the big layoff coming to Power for building 273 and 66. Working all the OT I can get.

In rough numbers I saved $5 per day in gasoline, $5 per week in coffee, $15 per week in lunch, and 5 hours per week driving. Over the year conservatively $1000 plus 240 hours of driving. On the personal side, what's not to like?
