Topics regarding layoffs at CVS

There are better alternatives

There are plenty of companies that don't treat their employees like cr-p like CVS. This was never a people friendly company. It was an average workplace at its best, and it's a horrible one at its worst (which is right now). I don't plan to wait for... — read more

CVS has been in decline for too long now

And there have been no attempts to change the course. A lot of flowery words from the top which mean nothing, but in essence there’s no strategy, new ideas, nothing. I have survived several rounds of layoffs, and the only thing that keeps me here is... — read more

No Raises or Bonuses?

There are rumors speculating that there will be no pay raises or bonuses this year. Is this true? Just trying to set expectations for myself as I may need to either find another job or get a part time job.

Return to CVS

Has anyone who was laid off returned to the company ? Was the new job better pay or the same as the previous job ? I would be very afraid to return to the company since it looks like you will get laid off again.

Volunteer for the next layoff?

Is there a possibility to volunteer for the next layoff at CVS? What steps do you need to take to request it?

CVS Fall

CVS sat on a wall. CVS had a Great Fall. All of KLs B—t kissers and DEI appointees couldn’t put CVS back together again. Wall Street got the message. Retail Pharmacy is in the tank. Benefits are all red ink as far as the eye can see. The junk in the... — read more

At least you're free

I know those who were laid off might not feel lucky right now, but being out of this hellhole? It's guaranteed to turn into a positive thing down the road.

Cvs Aetna (MEU) leaving for Cigna/UnitedHealth

At the moment, I am employed by Aetna Medical Economic Unit (MEU for IFP/Commercial). If I put in my two-week notice and tell them that I am leaving for Cigna or Unitedhealth, would I likely be asked to leave right away and log out of my computer the... — read more

Raises and bonuses will be frozen until 2027

Raises and bonuses will be frozen until 2027 in an effort to help the company meet its financial obligation to shareholders. This will be in addition to the 15k layoffs.

What’s the point of trying?

Why should I try? Nothing I do will have a measurable effect on the company. And whether I work hard or not will not determine whether I am laid off or not. All lay off decisions are broad strokes by people who have never met me or anyone

Betrayal, anger, grief, fear

Those are the emotions I've been circling through since I was laid off. How do people get used to this? How do you get over it?

I just moved all my prescriptions to Amazon.

Wait, I have no prescriptions to transfer, since I am no longer medicated as I no longer work for CVS.... Ok, I ordered some Advil from Amazon for 1/4 the cost of CVS. What does this have to do with layoffs? Everything.

Well this speaks volumes to how bad things are. The man behind the curtain is who’s really in charge. Yikes…

@pbo+1v5k8aXF The strange dynamic with the change in leadership is Roger Farah was named “Executive of the Board of Directors” and David Joyner is the “CEO” and not “Executive CEO”. This means Roger Farah is running the company and making the... — read more

This has been a full-on bottom line layoffs

The major criteria for layoffs have been the cost of the employee. There is a reason why some people cost more than others - competence and experience, to name a few. So we continue to shed people we actually need. Furthermore, a company will not be... — read more
