Count on IT being offshore and part of those layoffs. If you're in IT you may have some people stay as points of contact for the offshore teams. Scrum masters, developers, QA all offshore. All reporting via status update to whoever owns the project. The HBC doesn't have the budgets to keep onshore IT teams as FTEs.

We are all so delusional. Think all new executives will all of a sudden stop offshoring and outsourcing. They are going to protect our jobs and start giving out promotions and raises. Your clueless. They can fire the entire ELT and the new batch will offshore jobs and outsource work because it’s cheaper. They won’t give us raises or bonuses because we aren’t making money. Nothing will change, all these executives do the same things. Let’s keep wishing for change and we may regret getting it. New executives will not be loyal to us.

More offshoring of call-center customer service phone jobs, more web chat. Heck we cant find decent people to fill entry level customer service jobs in the call centers and we cannot retain them anyway.

to the exTwitter mgmt that Elon kicked out and are now running CVS....Trump will put tariffs on the offshore labor that is being brought in and causing so much damage to CVS and Americans losing their jobs....this will eventually cripple CVS. Christ is King and justice will prevail

Yes there will be more layoffs...question is how many. I believe somewhere in the 3-4k range again. Cvs just lost a big contract in Ohio I'm hearing and many other contracts on shaky ground.

Of course there will be layoffs, and it will always be the wrong people. expect to see a lot more offshore workers in the org chart as the company races faster and faster to the bottom. this is a company that thinks it is a good idea to be 5 lbs lighter by cutting off its own head.

UHC is the big dog in the game.
Positions will be posted. Karen's people will go, Coventry people will go. Tilak will be replaced by someone from Optum,
And retail closures .
There is such a thing as rolling layoffs. Scroll some org charts. You can see who will get laid off based on titles. Last round they removed people. Alot of those people were let go in October.

in 2024, there was 8,000 corporate job layoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple thousand of retail layoffs throughout the United States in 2024 and 2025. Massive store closures by CVS.

I don’t think anyone who actually knows is going to post it in this forum. But it would be naive to think we’ll have no layoffs next year.

I think the only question is when/ how many? 15,000 seems huge compared to previous layoffs. The $2bil savings plan is by 2027 (I think) so even if it is 15,000 people I’d imagine it would spread out over 2025 and 2026.
