For people in wave 2 it does not matter when the letters are released. Most of them will accept the relo to stay around for another year or so because one year paycheck is much bigger than severance package. When one year approaches they will find... — read more
Management is not union so they have no rights.
Management has no union rights and can be expected to be tossed to the wind. Poor planning for those so highly? educated and weak. Banding together could have at least got a high dollar severance exit package.

Are letters being released next week?
Can anyone confirm?
What if the VP of your org also refuse to relocate?se t
It will happen some VPs will not relocate and quit or retire too.
Who Exactly Has To Relocate ?
I got out of that hellhole a few years ago. So now I am completely out of the loop. Does this relocate or else plan apply to what used to be the first level U-verse network managers ?. Not sure what AT&T decided to call them now.
There is absolutely no culture at AT&T anymore.
When I say no culture, I mean it does not exist. Everyone hates this place. It is hard to look past arrogant S0B's as leadership who are clueless about business and have destroyed everything they touch. If they carry out the plan that was set... — read more
Jeremy should RTC
Jeremy L should Return To College so he can take science classes. The BA is not enough for a CTO. We can keep ELI5 for upper managers to understand our complex network.

Time to give back to T what they've been giving to us

Another stankey log flushed down the AT&T sewer pipes - LETTERS!
This pertains to management: Letters to all employees being distributed as early as next week. Here's what's known (SUBJECT TO CHANGE): Your manager will receive your letter first. They will schedule 1-on-1 calls with you to talk about it. .. — read more

Hey, how are y'all doing up there today? Still smiling?
Will they succeed at it?
If one of the main behind-the-scenes goals of RTO is to motivate as many people as possible to leave, I wonder to what extent they will succeed at it? Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to land anything better.
The biggest IRONY of the RTO policy
A leading telecommunications firm whose core business products are literally technologies that enable working from ANYWHERE, states that the model of distributed work is flawed and unworkable for a business concerned about fostering employee... — read more

New Job before Severance Payout
I am currently looking for new jobs and have gotten a few interviews. If I get an offer before AT&T can make up their mind about a timeline, is it worth taking before the severance payout?
Anyone hear any updates from CS&O?
Haven't heard a whole lot of updates since the original announcement. Anyone hearing any progress on CS&O? Like where people will be located and when they need to be there?

Don't count on unemployment to save you

Since there won't be another VTP offered today anywhere in the country
I think I'll start my retirement process and get out of this place if it's the last thing I do! Too much turmoil and confusion, low morale, dissent among the masses and enormous stress imposed every quarter of the year!
VTP offer today?
Here's hoping! Good luck to all.

Rumor has it - Stank to bolt after layoffs
Rumor has it that Stank has a birthday coming up, and he's too old to run AT&T. Not that he was qualified to begin with. His charge was to clean up Randall's mess and leave. Well, he's about to lose the better half of 60,000 employees with his recent... — read more

AT&T to spouse employees: Eff you!
