Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Management is not union so they have no rights.

Management has no union rights and can be expected to be tossed to the wind. Poor planning for those so highly? educated and weak. Banding together could have at least got a high dollar severance exit package.

Union folks see the company for what it is and will do something about it to improve conditions. Management just follows the company puppet orders for the paycheck . That honestly (not to offend anyone) is why management ALWAYS gets cut first and management losses pension, bonuses, gets transferred and losses any hard-earned perks when there is a downturn or layoffs. Try jerking bone out of the mouth of a union employee and see what happens.

Very sorry some management will have to return to unsafe big city areas.

couldn't be in a union because we have original thoughts

we aren't told how to think, vote, eat, and breath all the while paying for it out of our own pockets.

Imagine if management did unionize tho.. who's gonna be climbing the poles for contingency planning? lol

Imagine Stank trying to splice a cable.

Like civil rights in this country, unions used to serve a good purpose. Not so much anymore.

Like civil rights in this country?? You are a Fhucking ID10T. Whatever salary you are stealing needs to stop now.

Make no mistake, T would love for craft to walk out the door.

That tells you a lot about AT&T. They won't pay you to relocate to go COLABORORATE but mysteriously they seem to have the funds to send you miles away for Strike Duty. Where is your hub again?? Some managers will get to sit in the offices with their ill fitting boots (the lucky ones) but many others will be required to use 20 ft ladders, they slip, fall and unfortunately sometimes die. (It is your fault if you die, per AT&T BTW). Some others just stroke out. (15 grand to the aggrieved spouse). Some will succumb to heatstroke, because let us face facts. Your home office was a nice 75 degrees with 50% humidity and you are acclimated to that. Now get yourself outside and BREAK THE UNION. You will be doing it in 90-100 degree heat.
AT&T cares.....

I was a tech for 15+ years before my group was closed and I had a choice of management or follow them job. union rolled over and accepted company conditions every time during contract negotiations. one time the contract was voted down and union had a revote without making any changes saying they can't do better and it passed. locals only pursue grievances for losers who deserved to get fired, if you had a legit grievance that they had to do something about they just blew it off. and on the busiest of days they would walk off and shoot the sh-t at the union hall. and on top of that 90% of membership vote republican and then wonder why the union has no power to do anything. company knows no one has money to strike for a while, they can outlast any strike. and with all the money the union has they refuse to hire real negotiators to go against the company, it's always some mo--n tom di-k and harry who just climbed out of the manhole.

Management has company policy and 90% of your previous BAs include clauses giving all meaningful decision making to the company anyway. The last major strike lasted what, two days? LOL. How them cor stores doing that the CWA represents? Union leadership is a gang of people that lie to y’all and shave your paychecks while management is under a gag order

Why on earth would you be lashing out at people who might lose their jobs? (Unless you're possibly afraid you're next, union or not.) Look how many craft have lost their jobs despite being union. Sure, some may have gotten okay severance, but just as many got screwed various ways, and the end result is the same. No job, and not much can make you feel better, especially with some troll poking about it.

Sadly, people mean nothing to big companies, only dollar numbers matter. Next job only work union and force the company into truth, honesty and fairness for all.
