Is tomorrow the day?

Not good HR practice to cut late in the week. Investor call is Tuesday 3/1 where they've committed to sharing more specifics around capital budget cuts. Doubt they want to do that the day after actually cutting. Wait till after and employees may... — read more

Why did they build the second tower in Woodlands?

Hubris? They have total of $15.75 B in debt as of Dec 31, 2015. Easy money had been pouring into the Energy sector as a result of Quantitative Easing. Now many of the oil companies are in trouble and scrambling to payback the loan.

Closer to the well.

Field offices are the safest. There will be minimal cuts in Wattenberg, Maverick, West Texas and off shore. Most cuts will happen in Houston, Denver and assets that they are looking to divest.

Dec '15 Cuts

Our reductions were in December. Warned ahead of time, but other than a pat on the back, we received virtually nothing in additional compensation. They did not feel like they could afford it. The few that are left say moral is very low. Replacement... — read more
